%X Today more than ever, established manufacturing companies are being forced to revolutionize their business activities. To this end, many organizations rely on innovation paths outside of their core business, so-called corporate venture units. As they have had mixed success in practice, this thesis uses two empirical studies to examine the success factors of their performance management and translates them into a management model consisting of process and context factors.
