Part of MBSE is the virtual mapping of mechatronic systems according to a MBSE-method with a modelling language in a modelling environment. The generic language standard SysML has become established as a modelling language. However, the generic nature of SysML means that the same components of mechatronic systems can be modelled using different notation and syntax. This arbitrary, virtual mapping entails a substantial risk that the components of the virtual mapping are incompatible, making it difficult to exchange information between subsystems. The main objective of this thesis is to solve this deficit by defining a generic process model for the development of a domain-specific modeling language for the modeling of system models in the context of MBSE. The developed process model is subsequently applied and evaluated for the development of a domain-specific modeling language for the modeling of mechatronic system architectures. %F PUB:(DE-HGF)11 %9 Dissertation / PhD Thesis %R 10.18154/RWTH-2025-08749 %U https://publications.rwth-aachen.de/record/1020058
