%T An Economic Model Predictive Moisture Controller for Vibrated Fluidized Bed Drying; V1.0
%M RWTH-2026-00498
%D 2026
%X This project contains an economic model predictive controller for the residual moisture content of the QbCon 1 (L.B. Bohle Maschinen+Verfahren, Ennigerloh, Germany) vibrated fluidized bed dryer. The controller uses the process parameters air flow, air temperature, and vibration acceleration to regulate the residual moisture content. It relies on inline near-infrared measurements of the moisture content at the dryer outlet. The controller can be executed in a simulation environment or connected to the physical process.
