Focusing on the enduring impacts of structural and systemic violence - rooted in ongoing colonization, racism, and their pervasive consequences - the analysis illuminates the ways in which these forces shape the lived experiences of Indigenous peoples. Through a close analysis of works by authors Melissa Lucashenko, Paul Collis, and Alexis Wright, this research reveals how innovative narrative strategies are employed to confront interconnected forms of violence while resisting racist stereotypes. In doing so, these texts not only challenge dominant discourses but also foreground the resilience and agency of Indigenous communities.
