The successful scaling of subscription models in mechanical engineering and plant construction requires a targeted selection of suitable customers. A key challenge in this process is the lack of a systematic basis for evaluation. This dissertation develops the Subscription Customer Compass, a practical, data-driven model for the structured prioritization of customers for subscription offerings, thereby enabling their efficient and successful implementation.
