Note: Across the EU four million patients are affected by hospital acquired infections (HAI) every year, causing pain, longer stays in hospital, long-term disabilities and increased resistance to antimicrobials. Around 37,000 people die each year due to a HAIs. The cost is almost €7 billion a year with an average cost of €9,000 per case. Many of these infections, deaths and costs can be reduced by improved hand sanitization. Resani has developed a game-changing Automatic Hand Sanitizer (AHS) solution for improved hand disinfection of healthcare workers including those who suffer from occupationally acquired eczema which often harbours microbial biofilms including Staphylococcus Aureus. Our solution encourages regular use by using a patented eczema- friendly antiseptic which destroys biofilms and reminds staff to sanitize through an app and monitors use through a IoT badging system. The only automated hand sanitizer that guarantees 100% coverage of the hand in 3 seconds without rubbing the hands together or need to dry. The Resani AHS will increase hand sanitizing compliance from 37% to 100% among HCW and will provide hospital administrators with real-time data for statistical analysis, reporting and overall improvement of hand sanitization protocols. We will sell the AHS directly to hospitals and through channel distributors. Resani will also sell the special antiseptic refill cartridges, that are custom made to work with the AHS.
