Hierbei ist die wichtigste Forschungsfrage, inwieweit die einfache (perfecto simple) und die zusammengesetzte Vergangenheit (perfecto compuesto) sich im Gebrauch unterscheiden und welche Vergangenheit welche Merkmale des Aspekts zeigt. Hierzu werden private Dokumente aus dem Korpus CORDIAM (Corpus Diacrónico y Diatópico del Español de América) untersucht, wobei von besonderer Tragweite ist, dass eine Annäherung an die gesprochene Sprache der frühen Kolonialzeit bisher unerforscht geblieben ist. Die wichtigsten Ergebnisse bestehen darin, dass die einfache und zusammengesetzte Vergangenheit kein quantitatives Gleichgewicht aufweisen (eindeutige Dominanz des perfecto simple). die Ausdrucksmöglichkeiten des perfecto simple deutlich breiter gefächert sind: es kann sowohl tempus- als auch aspektbezogene Handlungen ausdrücken, während das perfecto compuesto sich hauptsächlich auf aspektuelle Charakteristika beschränkt (wichtigste Aspekte: resultativ, kontinuativ, durativ, reiterativ). erstmals der gesprochensprachliche Gebrauch beider Tempora in ganz Hispanoamerika während der Kolonialzeit erforscht wird (Merkmale der gesprochenen Sprache: Verwendung von Verbalperiphrasen, Ausdruck von Emotionen).$$lger
000751686 520__ $$aThis doctoral thesis contributes to the investigation referring to temporal and aspectual uses of the two Spanish past tenses pretérito perfecto simple and pretérito perfecto compuesto in the spoken varieties of the early colonial period of Hispanoamerica (16th and 17th centuries). The main subject of research deals with the question of how the simple (perfecto simple) and compound past (perfecto compuesto) differ in their uses and which temporal and aspectual characteristics they express. To this purpose, private documents of the corpus CORDIAM (Corpus Diacrónico y Diatópico del Español de América) have been analyzed, particularly concentrating on the importance of an approximation of the early colonial period’s spoken language. This diaphasic variety has not been investigated before due to the lack of sources. The most important results of the analysis are the following: The simple and the compound past form are not quantitatively balanced (unequivocal dominance of the perfecto simple). The perfecto simple comprises a wider scale of uses: it expresses both temporal and aspectual actions, whilst the perfecto compuesto is mostly limited to aspectual characteristics (most important aspects: resultative, continuative, durative, reiterative). For the first time, it is possible to draw conclusions concerning the use of spoken Spanish of both past tenses in the whole area of Hispanoamérica during a colonial period (characteristics of the spoken language: use of verbal periphrasis, expression of emotions).$$leng
