%X Thanks to medical progress, the therapy of adults with congenital heart disease (ACHD) has significantly improved resulting in both higher life expectancy and a growing patient population. Besides physical outcome parameters, the assessment of health-related quality of life (HRQOL) as a measure to evaluate therapeutic success attracts increasing attention. Methods: Patients, who were scheduled for their regular checkups in the cardiological outpatient clinics of the supraregional ACHD center of the university hospital in Aachen, filled in questionnaires providing answers to the following fields of interest: demographic data, locus of disease and health control (KKG) and health-related quality of life (SF36). The created files were completed by data originating from physical examination or research on medical records. Results: 206 patients (average age: 28 ± 10 years, 46.1
