In the first part, a series of phenanthroline-based chiral hexadentate ligands and their Eu (III) complexes were synthesized and characterized. In the second part, four dipyrrin-type ligands, as well as the corresponding complexes were developed. In the third part, a series of dinuclear triple lithium-bridged titanium (IV) helicatetype complexes were obtained and the control of the stereochemistry of hierarchically assembled helicates was investigated.
