These models are part of the larger data set "Digital elevation models and orthorectified photo mosaics of massively dilatant faults in Iceland", DOI: 10.18154/RWTH-2020-08138 Authors: Christopher Weismüller (1), Michael Kettermann (2), Christoph von Hagke (2), Janos L. Urai (2), Klaus Reicherter (1) (1) Neotectonics and Natural Hazards, RWTH Aachen University, Aachen, Germany (2) Structural Geology, Tectonics and Geomechanics, RWTH Aachen University, Aachen, Germany Subset: Reykjanesbaer: 2 DEMs, 2 orthorectified mosaics DOI: 10.18154/RWTH-2020-08145 Locations of the models are shown in the "Locations.kmz" provided in the superordinate entry. Bridge: Dense Cloud, calculated with PhotoScan from 4266 photos taken with DJI Pahntom Advanced (northern section, and DJI Mavic Pro @ 20 and 12 MPixel, with Medium Quality resulting in 235 186 398 Points DEM: 6.61 cm/pixel Orthomosaic: 1.65 cm/pixel curved fault: Dense Cloud, calculated with PhotoScan from 1566 photos taken with DJI Phantom 4 @ 12 MPixel, with Medium Quality resulting in 62 886 564 Points DEM: 9.47 cm/pixel Orthomosaic: 2.37 cm/pixel Horizontal and relative vertical accuracy were verified by ground truthing. The absolute elevation values in the DEMs are off by several tens of meters due to the accuracy of the onboard GPS of the drone. No correction using e.g. ground control points was done because the DEMs were only used as intermediate step to produce the orthorectified mosaics. Coordinate system: WGS 84 / UTM zone 27N The DEMs and orthorectified mosaics were produced from sets of overlapping images taken in different altitudes and processed with Agisoft PhotoScan Professional V. 1.3.2 (2017). The resolution of the orthorectified mosaics (OM) and DEMs varies depending on the altitude the original photographs were taken from.
