abstract = {The development of methods for the construction of
carbon-nitrogen bonds is an ancient field inorganic
chemistry. Due to the importance and ubiquity of
nitrogen-containing molecules significant efforts have been
undertaken towards new strategies for the construction of
aromatic C–N linkagesand to continuously improve the
established methodology. In general, achieving a high
overall efficiency is of particular interest in order to
enable powerful transformations. The general objective of
this work was the development of new efficient aromatic
C–N bond formingreactions using readily available starting
materials such as phenothiazines and nitroarenes in
eitheroxidative, redox-neutral or reductive fashion. The
major goal is the pursuit of the best possible
reactionefficiency for each strategy, respectively, together
                      with a high operational simplicity.},
