⇧ TRR 219: Mechanismen kardiovaskulärer Komplikationen bei chronischer Niereninsuffizienz ⇧

Note: Patienten mit CKD weisen häufig eine urämische Kardiomyopathie auf und leiden unter einer erhöhten Sterblichkeitsrate nach einem Myokardinfarkt. Wir haben festgestellt, dass CKD die oxidativen Stressreaktionen im Herzen erhöht und das Herz für eine verstärkte kardiale Dysfunktion nach einem Infarkt prädisponiert. In diesem Projekt werden nun die Auswirkungen von CKD-bedingten molekularen Veränderungen der Herzmuskel- und Endothelfunktion im Zusammenhang mit ischämischen bzw. nicht-ischämischen Zuständen genauer untersucht und neue therapeutische Strategien erforscht, die auf den gestörten Zellstoffwechsel bei CKD abzielen, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf dem Pantothensäure-Stoffwechsel liegt.
