⇧ SFB 1535 Mikrobielle Netzwerke – von Organellen bis hin zu Reich-übergreifenden Lebensgemeinschaften ⇧

Note: Die Verfügbarkeit von Kohlenstoffverbindungen ist ein Schlüsselaspekt für den Erhalt von mikrobiellen Gemeinschaften und die einzelnen Mitglieder haben unterschiedliche Strategien für die Aufnahme, Logistik und Metabolisierung entwickelt. Wir werden eine synthetische Flechten-ähnliche mikrobielle Gemeinschaft aus einem Cyanobakterium und zwei Pilzen etablieren, um die Rolle des Kohlenstoffmanagements in diesem mikrobiellen Konsortium zu verstehen. Hierfür werden wir unterschiedliche ökonomische Strategien der Saccharoseproduktion, -sekretion, -aufnahme und -metabolisierung untersuchen. Aus iterativen Zyklen von Computer-gestützter Modellierung und Experimenten zur Modellierung der individuellen Strategien der Mitglieder werden wir wichtige neue Erkenntnisse zur Regulierung stabiler Gemeinschaften ableiten können.
