The study examines young adults' susceptibility towards phishing messages on Instagram. In an experimental online vignette study, phishing messages were received from unknown or known senders (user-sender relation, within-subject) with no, low or high consequences of missing out an event when not clicking (consequence of not clicking, within-subject). The analysis focused on users' intended behavior and their suspicion. Additionally, young adults' State FoMO and Trait FoMO were analysed.
