⇧ TRR 219: Mechanismen kardiovaskulärer Komplikationen bei chronischer Niereninsuffizienz ⇧

Note: CKD induziert beschleunigte Alterungsprozesse im Herzen, die als urämische Kardiomyopathie (UC) bezeichnet werden und über noch nicht vollständig verstandene Mechanismen zu zellulärer Seneszenz, Degeneration und Fibrose führen. Dieses Projekt wird weitere mechanistische Erkenntnisse über den veränderten Herzstoffwechsel bei CKD liefern und auch die Rolle von PYY bei CKD und CKD-assoziierter CVD aufzeigen. Die Übertragung dieser Erkenntnisse in die klinische Praxis könnte zu innovativen Ansätzen wie der Modulation des PYY-Rezeptors führen, um die kardiovaskuläre Morbidität und Mortalität bei CKD-Patienten zu verringern.
