Kurzfassung
In dieser Arbeit wird die Gründungsgeschichte und Arbeitsweise von Nationalen muslimischen Interessenorganisationen in den USA (Council on American Islamic Relations, Muslim Public Affairs Council, Islamic Society of North America) sowie der historische, politische und kulturelle Kontext indem sie agieren untersucht. Die Arbeit ist an der Schnittstelle von Migrations- und Interessenorganisationsforschung angesiedelt und analysiert die Bedeutung der Organisationen für die politische Inkorporation (Repräsentation, Partizipation und Integration) von US-Muslimen.

This study explores the history and strategies of National Muslim Interest groups in the US (Council on American Islamic Relations, Muslim Public Affairs Council, Islamic Society of North America) and the historical, political and cultural context they work in. This study is located at the intersection of Migration and Interest group research and analyzes the role of these organizations for the political incorporation (Representation, Participation and Integration) of US-Muslims.
