Kurzfassung
This dataset provides a comprehensive collection of experimental measurements characterizing spray flame synthesis processes utilizing the standardized SpraySyn and SpraySyn2 burner configurations. The data characterizes the interaction between fluid dynamics, combustion chemistry, and spray atomization under varying dispersion gas flows (0, 6, 8, 10, and 12 slm). The dataset combines three complementary optical diagnostic techniques: Narrowband Imaging: Chemiluminescence imaging of OH* (308 nm) and CH* (430 nm) radicals, captured to visualize the macroscopic flame structure and reaction zones. High-Speed Schlieren Imaging: A Z-type Schlieren setup utilizing a 640 nm diode laser and a high-speed camera (10,000 fps) to visualize density gradients, transient flow structures, and ambient air entrainment. Phase-Doppler Technique (PDA): Point-wise measurements of droplet size and velocity (axial and radial) scanned axially from 5 mm to 50 mm height above the burner (HAB).The repository contains raw data files, including .tif image sequences for Schlieren and Narrowband imaging, and .txt files for PDA measurements containing raw time-resolved droplet statistics (transit times, phase differences, and velocities). This dataset is suitable for the validation of numerical simulations (CFD) of spray combustion and the analysis of burner aerodynamics in nanoparticle synthesis.
