Note: Der traditionelle Ansatz der Verkehrssicherheitsanalyse – basierend auf historischen Unfalldaten – unterliegt der Restriktion, dass sich eine ausreichende Anzahl von Unfällen ereignet haben muss, um entsprechende Unfallhäufungsstellen identifizieren und geeignete Maßnahmen ergreifen zu können. Die prädiktiven Möglichkeiten des traditionellen Ansatzes sind daher begrenzt und sollten um andere Möglichkeiten wie modellgestützte Vorhersagen erweitert bzw. durch Verkehrssicherheitsanalysen mit Sicherheitsindikatoren ersetzt werden.Die Verkehrsmodellierung bietet durch die modellgestützte Vorhersage die Möglichkeit, die Unfallanzahl des untersuchten Streckenabschnitts zu prognostizieren. Während die Modellierung des Verkehrs auf Autobahnstreckenabschnitten weit fortgeschritten ist, sind Modelle für komplexere Geometrien (z.B. Knotenpunkte), die aufgrund des veränderten Fahrverhaltens risikoträchtiger sind, noch nicht im selben Umfang vorhanden. Ziel dieses Projekts ist es daher, die bisher gesammelten Erkenntnisse und Daten zum Verkehrsverhalten auf Autobahnabschnitten auf die komplexen Geometrien der Autobahnknotenpunkte zu übertragen. Die neuentwickelten Modelle und numerischen Verfahren sollen mit den bisherigen Ergebnissen kombiniert und um stochastische Ansätze (Unschärfe) ergänzt werden, um schließlich für die gesamte Autobahn ein mehrskaliges stochastisches Verkehrsprognosemodell zu erhalten. Zusätzlich sollen die Sicherheitsindikatoren auf den verflechtenden Verkehr übertragen bzw. weiterentwickelt und mit den unscharfen Parametern vervollständigt werden.
